Angela Smith, RMT
With over twenty years of experience in health care, Angela brings depth, clinical insight, and compassion to her work as a Registered Massage Therapist. Her foundation is rooted in General Swedish techniques, complemented by advanced skills in myofascial release and deep tissue therapy.
Angela approaches treatment with a balanced perspective, recognizing the importance of both therapeutic outcomes and restorative relaxation. She tailors each session to meet the individual needs of her clients, blending clinical precision with a holistic understanding of overall wellness.
In addition to her work as an RMT, Angela is also a nurse and has experience across multiple areas of the health care system. She graduated with honours from ICT Northumberland College in 2003 and remains a member in good standing with the Massage Therapists’ Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS).

Lisa Cail, RMT
Lisa graduated with honours from Eastern College as a Registered Massage Therapist and is passionate about helping clients feel their best through personalized, therapeutic care. She specializes in therapeutic and deep tissue massage, with a focus on creating treatment plans tailored to each client’s individual needs.
Lisa has also pursued additional interests in lymphatic drainage, hot stone therapy, gua sha, cupping, and reflexology, allowing her to incorporate a variety of techniques into her treatments.
Before becoming an RMT, Lisa worked as a Teacher’s Assistant, supporting young people with neurodivergent backgrounds and individuals with diverse abilities. Prior to that, she spent 20 years in the film industry as a makeup artist and special effects artist, bringing creativity, precision, and attention to detail into every aspect of her work.

Madision (Maddy) Hendsbee is a Registered Massage Therapist and a member of the Massage Therapists’ Association of Nova Scotia (MTANS). She is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy (CCMH).
Maddy provides evidence-informed, client-centered care, tailoring each treatment to meet the individual’s specific needs and goals. Her therapeutic approach integrates a variety of techniques, including Swedish massage, myofascial release, joint mobilization, and trigger point therapy to help reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve overall function.
She is committed to identifying the underlying causes of discomfort rather than simply treating symptoms, and works collaboratively with clients to develop effective treatment plans that support both recovery and long-term wellness. Whether you’re managing chronic pain, recovering from an injury, or seeking preventative care, Maddy strives to deliver treatments that help you move and feel your best.
Maddy has a particular interest in women’s health and is expanding her expertise in prenatal and postnatal massage, pelvic floor health, and breast massage therapy. Mary Ann has been practising as an Rmt since 1997. She has worked in a variety of spas, physiotherapy and chiropractic clinics, and has successfully run her own business.

Nicole Riley
Nicole has been practicing as an RMT in Halifax since 2016. She is very friendly and professional with a speciality in deep tissue treatments. She also continued her education and has received certification in indian head massage and hot stone therapy.

Sarah Aucoin
Sarah was born and raised in Halifax, and has recently moved back home, after living and practicing massage in Ontario for over 20 years. She graduated from ICT Northumberland College in 1999. Sarah is passionate about massage therapy, as well as health and wellness in general.

Claire Smith
Claire has over 10 years experience in practice as an RMT. She enjoys helping her clients maximize function and comfort, whether they are recovering from surgery, rehabilitating an injury, or dealing with chronic pains and strains

Nathalie Savoie, RMT
Nathalie is a Registered Massage Therapist with a comprehensive and client-centred approach to treatment. She is experienced in a wide range of therapeutic techniques, including General Swedish Massage, Myofascial Release, Active and Passive Joint Mobilization, Trigger Point Therapy, Deep Tissue Techniques, Hot Stone Massage, and Cold Stone Facial Massage. She has also completed additional certifications in Cupping Therapy and Gua Sha.
Nathalie believes that effective massage therapy begins with understanding each client’s individual needs. She carefully tailors her treatments to address areas of muscular tension, discomfort, restricted mobility, and stress while supporting improved movement, function, and overall well-being.
Drawing from her diverse therapeutic skill set, Nathalie is able to incorporate different techniques throughout a treatment based on each client’s goals and preferences. Her approach can range from focused therapeutic work to restorative massage, providing thoughtful and individualized care in a professional and comfortable environment.
Nathalie also has a strong personal interest in health, fitness, and active living. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, working out, and participating in sports including volleyball, softball, and rugby. Her appreciation for movement and physical activity complements her professional interest in helping clients maintain mobility, recover from physical demands, and feel their best in everyday life.

Angela MacDonald is the owner and operator of Urban Retreat Massage Therapy. A graduate of ICT Northumberland College in Halifax, she has been practicing massage therapy since 2003.
Over the past two decades, Angela has built a thriving practice grounded in clinical skill, professionalism, and a strong commitment to public education. She is passionate about helping clients understand the benefits of massage therapy and how it supports long-term health and overall wellness.
Angela has completed post-graduate training in Reiki, Craniosacral Therapy, and Neuromuscular Therapy. As both a practitioner and former clinical instructor, she brings extensive experience in assessing and treating postural imbalances, repetitive strain conditions, chronic pain, and soft tissue injuries.
Her treatment approach is results-focused and individualized, incorporating Deep Tissue Therapy, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, Reiki, and Swedish/Relaxation Massage to effectively address tissue dysfunction and restore optimal movement and comfort.

Alyssa Anderson,RMT
Alyssa was drawn to massage therapy after witnessing the positive impact it had on a family member recovering from a car accident. Experiencing firsthand how therapeutic massage supported their healing inspired her to pursue a career in the field. She is passionate about helping clients feel their best and takes a thoughtful, individualized approach to each treatment.
Since graduating, Alyssa has expanded her skill set with introductory training in reflexology, Indian Head Massage, and cupping therapy. She enjoys supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including headaches, sciatica, and plantar fasciitis, as well as those seeking deep relaxation and stress relief.
